Media Credentials

Credentials may be requested by assigning editors or sports directors for:

• Print & Digital Media: Daily, weekly, or community newspapers, wire services, and established online sports outlets with identifiable editorial leadership.

• Broadcast: Accredited television and radio stations.

• School Media: Approved student journalism programs, yearbooks, and communications staff from Waco ISD or visiting school districts.

Unassigned or freelance media will not be issued credentials unless hired directly by a qualifying media outlet with a written proof-of-assignment letter from an editor or sports director.

To maintain safety and operational boundaries, credentials will not be issued to:

• Parents, family members, fan pages, or personal social media/influencer accounts.

• Commercial photographers offering direct-to-family photo packages or merchandise.

• Recruiting, scouting, or athlete-evaluation services without formal media credentials.

• Unaffiliated commercial videographers or podcast hosts.

To ensure a safe environment for active play, medical response, and official duties at Waco ISD Stadium and campus venues:

1. Safety Boundary: All media personnel and equipment (cameras, monopods, bags) must remain completely behind the white boundary line surrounding the field or court.

2. Restricted Areas: Media are strictly prohibited from entering team benches/coaching boxes, locker rooms, athletic training areas, team tunnels, or official chain crew paths.

3. End Zone Photography: Photographers positioned in end zones must remain seated or kneeling during live play.

4. Yield to Play: Media must yield immediately to student-athletes, coaches, officials, athletic trainers, and emergency personnel.

• Rights Holder Exclusivity: Live streaming, webcasting, or full-game video broadcasts are prohibited without prior written authorization from the Waco ISD Athletics Department.

• Highlights Policy: Credentialed non-rights holders may record short game highlights for local news broadcasts or news recaps. Continuous recording or full-game live streaming is not permitted.
